EL Refectorium is a classic in Malaga, founded in 1973 by Francisco Ramírez and which had five establishments, its successors, Belén, Curry and Sergio, maintain three, Malagueta, Catedral and Campanario, the first being the most classic and oldest.

 

El Refectorium Malagueta has a bar area with high tables where you can enjoy portions of Russian salad, which is a must try, anchovies, red mullet, squid, Iberian ham, ‘marisquito’, clams, skewers, chops…. Always an excellent product that they prepare in a simple way, but with respect to preserve its quality, as they say, they elaborate a ‘sensible cuisine based on the best seasonal products’. The dining room, simple, but cosy and full of flavour, is perfect for more formal meals, and to taste a Mediterranean cuisine with a clear Malaga accent, attention to its gazpachuelo, with recommendable starters, fish, excellent fried fish, and meats, such as sirloin, entrecote, Iberian prey… with the same quality as always, an excellent waiter service and a classic wine list.
