Javier Hernández, born in Málaga, studied culinary arts in the first class of La Cónsula, Málaga’s Hospitality School, in 1994.

His first job at a rice restaurant in Benajarafe was the seed that would lead him to become one of the top specialists in rice cuisine.

Su carrera

He later became part of the ambitious fine dining project at the Monte Sancha restaurant, alongside Dani Carnero, and with the restaurant Entremares, he fully immersed himself once again in the world of rice dishes.

The world of catering was another of his schools, as he was in charge of Lepanto and Limonar 40 until, after 20 years of experience, he established himself on his own at the Restaurante del Candado Golf, which he currently runs.

At Candado Golf, he focuses on traditional cuisine with a touch of creativity, excellent ingredients, and knowledge. And, of course, he prepares absolutely masterful rice dishes.
